Fred Meyer: bogo50 + 2 In-Ad coupons + peelie = cheap bakeware

Fred Meyer: bogo50 + 2 In-Ad coupons + peelie = cheap bakeware

Here is how I worked the current bakeware specials at Fred Meyer. I paid $6.94 total for what you see in the picture.

I used:
10% off Home Bonus Coupon
20% Off  Housewares 7-Day Coupon
Bogo50 (Buy 1 Get 1 50% Off) on Bakeware
and a 75¢ Peelie stuck to Baker’s Secret products only

Fred Meyer always deducts coupons in this order: the 10% first, then the 20%, then the bogo50. The peelie comes off at the end of all of the store coupons and sales.

Here’s the math on this deal:

12-Cup non-stick Muffin Pan $7.99
10% Off Home: $7.99 – 80¢ = $7.19
20% Off Housewares  $7.19 – $1.44 = $5.75
Peelie: $5.75 – 75¢ = $5

15×10 non-stick Cookie Sheet $7.49
10% Off Home: $7.49 – 75¢ = $6.74
20% Off Housewares: $6.74 – $1.35 = $5.39
Bogo50: $5.39 – $2.70 = $2.69
Peelie: $2.69 – 75¢ = $1.94

woo-hoo!

    I, Jamba

    I, Jamba

I used that $1 Pumpkin Smash Jamba Juice coupon that came in the paper on Sunday! Can I say it was fun!

While I’m not a fan of sipping liquid pumpkin stuff through straws, that smoothie was actually good. Really good. And I got a protein and daily vitamin boost (free). I also got free oatmeal!

Woo-hoo! What a great Jamba day!

Oh yeah, and the employees are always soooo nice and friendly when I go there! No matter if something is free or cost a million dollars, great employees are priceless!

Albertsons shop trip Spent $4 Saved $46

Albertsons shop trip Spent $4 Saved $46

I’m usually never excited about doubles at Albertsons. It could be that the store nearest to me is not all that coupon friendly. Shopping there is such a chore. But, I’ve found 2 other stores that I frequently pass by that welcome couponers.

So here’s what I accomplished this time:

    Jeanie-O turkey bacon $2.50 x 3
    - 55¢ peelie x 3
    - doubler x 3
    Paid $4.20 Saved $3.30
(This stuff is very dry. I like pretty much all the other brands better.)

    - 60¢ off 2

    Spent $4.70, Saved $46.22

Walgreens shop trip spent $2 saved $35

Walgreens shop trip spent $2 saved $35

I have to admit, shopping with coupons is addictingly fun! Especially when you can do some stuff like I did today:

    Transaction #1

    Colgate toothpaste $1.99
    Milkyway 50¢
    SubTot $3.49
    - $1 Colgate from 9/12 ss
    - $2 RR Carmex lip (from last week)
    Final Tot 49¢
    Received $2 RR (Colgate)
Note: Because I used 2 coupons (Colgate and the $2 Carmex RR), I needed to have 2 items. I added the candy to make 2 items. I could have picked something cheaper than candy (like a pencil). But candy is just so much more useful.

    Transaction #2

    Colgate toothpaste $1.99
    M & M 50¢
    SubTot $3.49
    - $1 Colgate from p. 41 Fall Diabetes & You magazine (free in pharmacy)
    - $2 RR Carmex lip (from last week)
    Final Tot 49¢
    Received $2 RR (Colgate)
Note: Because I used 2 coupons (Colgate and the $2 Carmex RR), I needed to have 2 items. I added the candy to make 2 items.

    Transaction #3

    Welch’s Grape juice $3
    Impruv Lotion $4.99
    Dulcolax $6.99
    Aluminum foil 69¢
    Lays Stax 99¢
    SubTot $16.66
    - $8 Dulcolax printable
    - $1 Welch’s from 9/12 ss
    - $2 Dulcolax WCB (Walgreens coupon book)
    - $0.50 Welch’s WCB (Walgreens coupon book)
    - $2 RR Colgate from transaction #1
    - $2 RR Colgate from transaction #2
    FinalTot $1.16
    Received $4 RR (Impruv)
Note: The Dulcolax coupon created $3 extra money that I needed to spend down. I used it to pay off the remainder of the Impruv, and juice, and buy the foil. Had someone not added the chips, the final tot would have been 17¢.

    Total Savings $35.27
    Total Spent $2.14
Received $4 RR to spend on future shop trip

oh yeah! That’s what I’m talking bout!

The cashier rang me up 3 different times. The reason? Well, I purchased 2 Colgate Total toothpastes. And because there is a register reward for each toothpaste, only 1 will print if I buy both of them in the same transaction. Since I want 1 register reward for each tube of toothpaste, I had to ring them up separately.

The reason for transaction #3 was so that I could use both of the Colgate register rewards that printed out in transactions #1 and #2 to pay some of the balance in transaction #3.

I could have made transction #3 the first transaction and paid using the $2 Carmex RRs and received a $4 Impruv RR. But I wanted 2 Colgates. To do that would have cost $1.47 out of pocket instead of 98¢.

Yes. I actually sit around and think about those things. Sad. I know. But it’s fun.

    Wags trip today

    Wags trip today

    Transaction #2
    Carmex lip moisture $2

-$2 Redeemed Kelloggs RR from last week
    Paid 49¢ (Saved $5.79)

    Transaction #3
    Colgate toothpaste $2.99
    Steno pad 49¢

    -75¢ from 08-29-10 SS
-$2 Redeemed Carmex RR (from transaction #1)
    Paid 73¢ (Saved $6.65)

Received catalina for FREE Jumpstart to a Healthy Fall survival kit! wohoo!
The kit includes a gym bag from Prevention magazine, a water bottle, a pedometer and a jump rope. Offer ended 8/31.

A friend wanted some Carmex lip, so we did this:
    Carmex lip moisture $2

    x 3
-$2 Redeemed Colgate RR from transaction 3
    Paid $1.47 (Saved $10.79)

    Total Savings $31.52!

In order for me to keep all these transactions straight when at the register, I write them all down before I even set foot in the store (well, most of the time).

    Target shop trip (8 free)

    Target shop trip (8 free)

I wandered into Target the other day and got some FREEBIES. Here is how I did it. I used the overage from the toothpaste and dental floss to pay down the 49¢ remaining from the Pantene.

    Purchased
    (2) Arm & Hammer toothpastes trial size $1.07 ea = $2.14
    (4) Reach dental flosses 97¢ ea = $3.88
    (2) Pantene detanglers $3.49 ea = $6.98
    (1) dollar spot item = $1
    SubTot $14

    Used these coupons
    - $2.50 off any 2 Arm and Hammer toothpaste (36¢ over)
    - $1 Reach dental floss (3¢ over x 4 = 12¢)
    - $1 Target Pantene coupon from 06-27-10
    - $2 Pantene coupon from Parade, June 27 2010
    - BOGO Pantene from Parade, June 27 2010
    Coupon Tot $12.99

    Paid
    $14 – $12.99 + 5¢ (reusable bag) = 96¢

    wo-hoo!

If I wanted to be really cheap, I did not have to buy a dollar spot item. But I wanted it.

And Walgreens has Reach dental floss free after that $1 coupon this week, but I really wanteded the overage to pay down my final tot at Target.

    Tech Tuesday: Morning Coffee review

    Tech Tuesday: Morning Coffee review

A couple of weeks ago I wrote about a Fire Fox add-on called Morning Coffee HERE.

I downloaded it and I love it!!!!!

First, I added the websites that I regularly open. Then I configured my list to open the sites in a particular order. Now, all I do each day is open my browser, click the coffee cup icon on the menu bar, and click Load My Morning Coffee. All the sites I need for the day open up in different tabs! Saves me a lot of time!

If you use Morning Coffee, let us know what you think.

Made 48-cent profit on Target’s Kashi cereal

Made 48-cent profit on Target’s Kashi cereal

I waited until the last minute to do the Kashi cereal thing at Target. I wasn’t sure I wanted to even bother with it. I don’t eat wheat. So, the cereal will be donated.

Almost all of the Kashi coupons came from a home mailer Kashi sent out to those who signed up.

    Here is the final result:

4 boxes Kashi heart 2 heart
    1 box Kashi organic
    SubTot 14.40
    - 1 Free Kashi cereal from a Kashi home mailer I signed up to get
    - 1.50 off 1 from the same home mailer

    CouponTot 9.98
    Tot $4.52
    Received $5 gift card! woo-hoo!
    Profit 48¢
I did an additional purchase for some different products. Check this out:

    1 diet coke 20oz $1.49
    1 regular coke 20oz $1.49
1 can Planters mixed nuts 11.5oz $2.98 (sale price)
    SubTot $5.96
    - Buy1 20-oz Coke Get1 free Target web printable
    - $1 off any Planters nuts Target web printable
    - $2 off when buy diet coke + Planters from a tearpad in Walgreens
    CouponTot $4.49
    Tot $1.47

I drink Coke once, maybe twice a year. And I almost never finish the bottle. I actually don’t like it. But for some reason I crave the stuff, but only once a year. One time, it took me a whole week to finish a 20oz bottle. The same thing goes for Pepsi.

    My Mailbox Runneth Over

    My Mailbox Runneth Over

I got lots of goodies in the mailbox today.

First, a $5 bill fell out of a letter I opened! Seems I was randomly selected to participate in a study conducted by a local university. They were paying $5 just for opening up the mail. If I complete the questionnaire, I could possibly get $200 more!

Next, a free re-usable shopping bag and coupons from Earthbound Farms! The bag is super-roomy. I need a new bag too. I can put my puncture gear in it: an mp3 with headphones, aromatherapy oil spray, lip balm, and a blankie. Yes, I take my own blankie. I can get one from the acupuncturist, but I like to be xtra warm and snuggly.

Here is a pic (I used a photo editor to scuff up the pic of money & coupons)

    My Fun Times @ Target

    My Fun Times @ Target

Today is the day I get to share all the goodies I got over the past week (or two). I’ll start with Target. I had some kind of fun there.

First, I started off with an attack plan. I wrote it all down in my handy-dandy notebook — thanks Joe, Steve, & Blue for the notebook idea.

Then, I shopped! The store wasn’t overly crowded so everything went smoothly.

The icing on the cake was when I was able to pop into the checkout line of one of my fave cashiers. A friendly perky lady who is just pleasant with a great sense of humor . . . it’s about time Target hired some adults to work in their stores! Anyway, fave-cashier just luuuvs when I coupon. Me too!

I gave the cashier $5. And she gave me $4.60. in change! And here is what I walked away with!

And here is how I did it:

    1. Gossip Glittery Shower Gel in Grapescicle – (gift for a little one I know)
    Clearance .24¢

    2. Band-Aid 40-ct, $1.97 (for my kitchen adventures)
    - $1 off Target web coupon
    and – $1 off 1 coupon from 1/3 RP
    Free + .03¢ over

    3. Oral B Stages toothbrush $1.99 (gift for a little one I know)
    - $1 off Oral-B Stages PG 2/7
and – $1 off Any Oral B Child Target web coupon
    Free + .02¢ over

    4.  L’Oreal True Match Concealer – clearance $2.08  (great, great eye primer)
    - $2 off 1 L’Oreal True Match or any foundation, powder, blush or concealer – 01-31-10 RP
    And I bought 2 more
    Almost free .08¢ x 3 = .24¢

    5. L’Oreal Le Kohl Pencil Smooth Defining Eyeliner – clearance $1.97 (the ole smokey-eye)
    - $2 off 1  L’Oreal Studio Secrets Magic Perfecting Base Or Any L’Oreal Face Product- 02-21-10 RP
    Free + .03¢ over

And that’s about the jist of it! wo-hoo!
