I sent an email to Michaels craft store. I wanted to know how do home school teachers verify they are who they say they are.

The response was home school teachers are eligible for Michael’s teacher discount and free classes as long as there is documentation that you are a home school teacher. So, you can show a home school association card for example.

Some school districts/states require that home schooling parents register and a letter is sent verifying that registration is complete. Or some parents must notify their local school districts of the intent to home school getting a response letter in return. Those letters should work also.

Another option is to get free PEAH home educator cards by submitting a curriculum review HERE.

There are also home school associations for many cities/states that offer a membership card.

If you don’t have anything, perhaps you and some other sisters can form a home school association. Then create an official letterhead with membership information.

And, I’m sure that a pay stub from a school (private or public), or daycare center will work as well.
